Community Is the New Currency: EquityHaus Tulum 2024 Member’s Only Retreat

Every time I switch on the news, I can’t help but feel disheartened by the overwhelming amount of bad sh*t and despair, both locally and globally. Throughout my life, I’ve dedicated myself to building community and sharing resources, opportunities with those seeking like-minded individuals. While I haven’t always hit it out of the park, being “in community” isn’t measured by the same metrics as the business world. It’s about connecting on a human level to fulfill a need for belonging or purpose.
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to host our EquityCoin Token-holders in Tulum, Mexico for our inaugural EquityHaus Retreat. This private membership group within our Equity Platforms ecosystem allows token holders to build, network, and grow through events, education, and more. Over four days, we engaged in deep, enriching conversations with plenty of fun mixed in. Our token holders come from diverse backgrounds, but we share a common mission: building generational wealth opportunities and financial freedom. We bonded over meals, swims, discussions, and property tours, exploring real estate investment opportunities.
What stood out was our collective vision, where we saw possibilities not just as individuals, but as a community. This is what makes EquityHaus unique, it transforms community into currency. Every time we host a virtual or in-person event, I feel enriched and uplifted. A huge thank you to our founder, Vernon Jones, and Beatriz Durant for curating such an incredible experience. One of the most remarkable aspects of a community is its ability to empower individuals to build from nothing. By coming together, sharing resources, and supporting one another, people can achieve extraordinary feats. Community, in its essence, is the most accessible form of currency, it doesn’t require vast wealth or material possessions. Instead, it thrives on mutual trust, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future. Whether it’s starting a business, pursuing a passion project, or navigating life’s challenges, the strength of community can turn dreams into reality. In a world where so much seems out of reach, the power of community reminds us that we’re never truly alone on our journey.
